The office is incredibly disorganized. I was forced to cancel a medical procedure due to miscommunication from the office. They never sent a test to Lab Corp after telling me they were going to send it. The doctor is fine, but it's not worth dealing with the office.

Also, there were several entry points to her checking into my needs to make sure I was all set, without being pushy. Dr. Sikka is is well versed in treating interstitial cystitis and I agree with her conservative treatment approach thus far. That being said, she seems very rushed, so I do not feel as though I have time to ask all of my questions or have them answered thoroughly. I understand that that’s kind of just the nature of the medical field. However, my overstretched primary care physician spent more time with me on this condition (or the symptoms prior to diagnosis) - so I had hoped for an even more thorough discussion with a specialist.

I would not recommend and will not be going back to this office for the following reasons:
-There was a printer in the way of the stirrups so the doctor had to position her head and body oddly to complete my pap.
-I was bleeding after the pap. She offered me no toilette and no pad. Something ever single other gyno I've been to has offered
-The nurse that checked me in went through the very sensitive patient questions coldly and ignorantly. She did not know of a fairly common gynecologically procedure I had done so said "I will have to Google this." Then proceeded to ask "abortion ever?"
-They called me with my results but still have not posted them to my portal
The only redeeming quality of this office was the front desk personnel were all very lovely. I
I went to another gyno shortly after and they were truly a breath of fresh air compared to this place overall.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Sikka and it will not be my last! She was very professional, thorough and quick. I was in and out of my appointment in no time, but I also did not feel rushed. Her bedside manner is great, as is the demeanor of her office staff as a whole, which is important for any healthcare provider, but especially for those providing care for sensitive systems, like reproductive health, of the body.

The doctor had trouble listening to my narrative and kept getting key details incorrect or out of chronology. There were also stretches of time when I was left alone and didn't know what was happening and whoever was attending me had no idea where I was supposed to go or whether the appointment was over. I felt very pressured to take on various treatments and medications, though they were vague about benefits and side effects or what my options were. When the doctor left, I noticed that my paperwork was left all over the room.

The initial consultation with her LPN was more inviting then with Dr. Silks. Perhaps being asked several times if I have children was more of her concerns then my initial visit. I just didn't connect with her. It happens.

Dr. Sikka was very professional. That said, it was over an hour wait, which is not acceptable. The secretary is also a bit unfriendly. The nurses were great though! Also, the office is not nearly as nice as the website makes it appear. Nevertheless, I went for the doctor so I will go back.

My 1st visit with Dr. Sikka was for a 2nd opinion and despite my being honest with her about this being my 2nd opinion, she was thorough and explained everything in detail. The difference between her and the 1st doc I saw was night and day. Dr. Sikka's gentleness, kindness and overall bedside manner won me over. I subsequently ended up having surgery and could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out. I highly recommend Dr. Sikka. No doubt you will be in capable and caring hands. I did not find out until after my surgery that she has been voted by Washingtonian Doctors Top 10 doctors for 2015 & 2016. I happened upon the article written about her while waiting, at a doctor's office, to be called back for an appointment for one of my children. I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Sikka and her staff Tiffany, one of her nurse's, has the best bedside manner I've encountered in recent times. The whole office has been exceptional with the multiple forms I've had to have them fill out for my return to work. My recovery has been amazing and I believe it is because of how well my surgery went. Thank you Dr. Sikka and her staff!
