Dr. Suri was very down to earth and explained my husband's and my dental conditions very thouroughly, but in a very understandble way. He even explained what a previous provider had likely done when it had not been clearly stated by the previous provider. Office staff was very personable and explained my financing options. My husband is french speaking from Africa and they accommodated him so well. As I read in a prior review they are cry helpful and open to international clients, I saw several in the office. Furthermore, the office staff was very diverse and also accommodating!
The only thing I left uncertain about was the cost of procedures. What they said my insurance would cover was much less than the 50% that my insurance provider said they would cover for major procedures. They did highlight that for cleanings if the insurance said they'd cover only 2 the office would cover a third one.
Lastly, the experience was thorough and not extremely painful for my husband and I.

Unfortunately, the reception process was very disorganized. Despite receiving both email and verbal confirmation of my appointment, the office had no record of it. It made for a frustrating and disappointing experience. Big waste of time

I am happy with the quality of care I received. The staff is warm, friendly, and approachable. This is a good provider - with a very important caveat:
My critical rating is to spotlight a coverage and billing issue. When I booked through ZocDoc (June 2026), the app listed Channing as an in-network provider for Delta Dental. This was false! I trusted the info and didn't verify with the dentist (my mistake). The result was significant fees I could have avoided if I not used ZocDoc and found an actually in-network dentist. (It would have also been nice If Channing told me, "We're not in-network for Delta, okay?" But why would they?)
There was also confusion about fees. I caution patients to clarify what they are paying for on day of service, what will be filed as claims, and what must be paid for later once the insurance company sends re-imbursement checks for out-of-network situations. I failed to ask, and now owe even MORE than I expected. It's "fair", but feels terrible.

Dr. Mia Nguyen, DDS is great! Channing Dental staff is great as well. I was checked in and in the room in less than 10 minutes. They work efficiently and they helped me in a desperate time of need. My tooth looks and feels great! I HIGHLY recommend Channing Dental! This will now be my primary dentist.

The wait time to start my appointment was long, about 30 minutes. There was another wait time of 15 minutes or so to see a dental hygienist. Dr. Nguyen was professional and to the point of what I needed to repair.

The front office staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable of my insurance. My hygienist, Bene (for short as I can't remember the correct spelling) was very personable and had excellent bedside manner. He made me feel very comfortable and made sure my exam was pain free. The doctor was very informative and detailed in her examination. She was very professional yet personable. Overall, I would rate this office a 10+. The "+" is because they have boxed water in a mini fridge in the waiting room and onsite parking!
