I dislike writing negative reviews, but my nine-year-old son and I had a bad experience at his first (and only) visit. I booked his initial consultation with Dr. Nguyen through ZocDoc, a very helpful app. We arrived 15 minutes early for the 10:00 AM appointment per the instructions. After filling out the new patient paperwork, we waited for 30 minutes, the only people in the waiting room. Having another appointment at 11 AM, I approached the front desk around 11:20 to ask for an update. There were two receptionists and one them told me they couldn’t be rushed and to sit back down. She said the intake process takes as long as it takes. If I was in a hurry, I would need to reschedule the appointment to a different day. I told her we’d find another dentist and my son and I left. My experience with providers is that if a front desk staff is slow and/or surly at the outset, things don’t get better over time. Dr. Nguyen might be awesome, but we didn’t make it past the front desk.
