Cohenmehr Optometry offers a full range of services to support healthy vision, including routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and advanced therapeutic care. We focus on early detection and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye exams to provide proactive care. For those with dry eye, we provide cutting-edge treatments, such as IPL and other insurance-covered options. We also offer custom scleral lenses for keratoconus, thyroid eye disease, corneal disease, Bell’s palsy, and more. Urgent care walk-ins are always welcome. They have complex equipment for managing my keratoconus with scleral contact lenses that have really improved my vision and quality of life. After seeing many doctors in the Los Angeles area for chronic dry eye disease and meibomian gland dysfunction, I was referred to Dr. Bijan Cohenmehr by my rheumatologist. Dr. Cohenmehr walked me through a step by step dry eye treatment protocol including 3 different treatments that have completely changed my life. I can now wear contacts for over an hour, can keep my eyes open without constantly blinking, and can look at the computer screen again. I high recommend this doctor for his expertise in dry eye and general care.

The keratoconus doctor at this eye clinic fit me in highly custom scleral lenses which have changed my entire life. I had a great first experience with Dr. Cohenmehr and the staff. I was running about 5-8 minutes late, but I simply reached them by phone to inform them, and the staff thanked me for calling and said they would make a note. I was checked in immediately when I arrived. I pre-filled all my forms online, and this also helped the process. After verifying all my information and completing the initial eye exam, Dr. Cohenmehr came out to meet me and take me back. Everyone was welcoming and kind, and I had zero issues during my visit.

Appointment was easy to make and the treatment I received was better/ more appropriate and effective than when I went to urgent care a few days prior for the same issue. The doctor gave clear explanation and a prescription that effectively treated the problem. I really appreciated talking with the doctor - he really took the time to walk me through his evaluation, showing pictures of my eye and addressing my concerns directly. He also expertly fitted me for contacts and was super diligent about ensuring they were the right fit. The office staff was very kind and eager to help me upgrade my lenses. I personally prefer to have a little bit more variety in options for frames, but outside of that I appreciated that they offered to refit my current frames (which I never knew was possible!). I’ll definitely be back!

I had an amazing experience here. I went to a different urgent care 1 week ago for light sensitivity, eye pain, and vision loss. They (incorrectly) told me I have pink eye, and they gave me some drops but it kept getting worse over the next week. I went to another urgent care, and they said the same thing, but I kept getting worse!
Finally, I went to Cohenmehr Optometry. Dr. K was amazing. He diagnosed me in less than a minute with a high grade Uveitis, (NOT PINK EYE). He prescribed steroid drops and kept me in his office for an hour while the pharmacy was getting my medication ready, and he added a "loading dose" of drops in office. Every 5 minutes he had staff check up on me and add drops to both of my eyes. By the time I left I felt 90% better. I continued with the drops a few times per day for the next week and recovered 100%. He then sent me to a rheumatologist to help find the root cause and it turns out I am ANA Positive, which I am continuing to investigate.

One of the most thorough eye exams I have ever gotten. The doctor (Dr. K) was amazing. The front desk staff was equally excellent in working with me. I did not have vision insurance, and they worked with me to cover a large portion of the cost by using my medical insurance. All I had to pay was the refraction cost and copay rather than their full fee. I have always had to pay full price for my vision exams because I don't have a vision plan and I truly appreciate their office being able to leverage my medical insurance benefits to help with the cost.

I went to Dr. Cohenmehr for a glasses and contact lens exam after moving to Los Angeles. I was nervous because my parents both have glaucoma, so I was worried for myself. Dr. Cohenmehr took that seriously and did a very thorough eye exam. He ended up diagnosing glaucoma and I am actually relieved, because now I finally have answers and a plan instead of just anxiety.
The whole team is amazing. Everyone is professional, and makes you feel taken care of. Kat was especially incredible helping me with my glasses. She took her time, helped me pick the right frames, and made the whole glasses experience so much easier. I usually dread anything involving glasses decisions, but she made it feel simple and fun.
I also have keratoconus and I was seen by Dr. Brandon, their keratoconus specialist, for a specialty lens fitting. He was just as thorough and patient, and the scleral lens fitting process was way more detailed than I expected in a good way. My vision and comfort are so much better.

Dr. Kevin Cohenmehr is a careful, thoughtful optometrist who takes his time and answers questions without rushing you. The eye exam felt more thorough than any eye doctor visit I have had before. He also helped me understand my options for a contact lens exam and a glasses exam, which was great because I needed both updated contacts and a glasses prescription.
