Cohenmehr Optometry offers a full range of services to support healthy vision, including routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and advanced therapeutic care. We focus on early detection and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye exams to provide proactive care. For those with dry eye, we provide cutting-edge treatments, such as IPL and other insurance-covered options. We also offer custom scleral lenses for keratoconus, thyroid eye disease, corneal disease, Bell’s palsy, and more. Urgent care walk-ins are always welcome. After seeing many doctors in the Los Angeles area for chronic dry eye disease and meibomian gland dysfunction, I was referred to Dr. Bijan Cohenmehr by my rheumatologist. Dr. Cohenmehr walked me through a step by step dry eye treatment protocol including 3 different treatments that have completely changed my life. I can now wear contacts for over an hour, can keep my eyes open without constantly blinking, and can look at the computer screen again. I had a great first experience with Dr. Cohenmehr and the staff. I was running about 5-8 minutes late, but I simply reached them by phone to inform them, and the staff thanked me for calling and said they would make a note. I was checked in immediately when I arrived. I pre-filled all my forms online, and this also helped the process. After verifying all my information and completing the initial eye exam, Dr. Cohenmehr came out to meet me and take me back. Everyone was welcoming and kind, and I had zero issues during my visit.

I have a history of fluctuating vision that wouldn't get better with any glasses. The doctor explained that the front surface of my eye was dry and explained it was due to meibomian gland dysfunction. He is doing treatment to help stimulate these glands and I am excited to see the results.

Dr. Brandon Cohenmehr is the only dry eye specialist in Los Angeles to approach my dry eyes with a multifactorial approach rather than just brushing it aside. He explained how my autoimmune condition of Sjogren's syndrome and Rheumatoid arthritis are contributors, got my rheumatologist involved, and fit me in custom fit scleral contact lenses that have changed my quality of life. The lenses are filled with fluid that keeps my eyes moist all day and it was fully covered with insurance.
