Incredibly disorganized. My first appointment was breezed through and none of my health concerns were taken seriously. My follow up appointment was forgotten altogether by both the doctor and the office. I already planned on changing providers after this, but decided to give it one more try after an ER visit where I was told I needed to contact my PCP in order to get a referral for surgery. Once again, my appointment was forgotten, and once I got into the appointment (after she finished with another patient during my scheduled time), all my concerns were breezed through and I was charged for an appointment that was literally only 2 minutes. They've also made promises about sending me resources, like the surgeon referral I'm in need of, and also forget about it altogether which makes me hav eto follow up a million times. Terrible experience all around, do not book if you want your health to be taken seriously.
Dr Ortiz was amazing, I felt comfort and peace knowing my concerns were validated. So grateful for her and the staff for making this process so seamless, now all I have to focus on is the time to recover with the time given based on my visit. This app/ option to find a doctor was recommended by a dear friend and can't thank her enough, as I now feel like I can continue to seek Dr. Ortiz as a primary going forward, which was my plan after all.

Staff was nice and friendly. Confirmed my appointment beforehand and ensured all information was on file prior to my appointment. Very efficient and organized office. The doctor was great. Listened to my concerns and communicated next steps. Explained everything very thoroughly and made me feel comfortable.
Dr. Ortiz seems very knowledgeable. However, I felt pressured to "establish care" with her. I went in for an office visit because I had runs for a weeks and it really impacted me. She had a recording device setup to automatically take notes for her, but she still had this notepad in front of her. Of course, medical records are important, but the interactions I had with her felt like I was simply entering my symptoms into a computer and getting responses. I got prescribed medicine to help with the runs and a task to go get labs done with Quest. I got all the tests done, but there has been no follow-up since then to review my results. I emailed to check, and they simply asked if I am sure I did the tests. I wish for a caring physician that will follow-up on labs they requested for a patient. Instead, I was constantly probed to establish care with Dr. Ortiz while I was sick and in need of help, and now get spam emails to book my annual with them instead of follow-up on my sick visit...
Went for an annual checkup. She didn’t ask many questions at all, just kept trying to push me to get my gynecological visits and colonoscopy through her office. I repeatedly said I go through specialists for that. Felt like I was dealing with a car salesman. It was awful.
Had a great experience with my primary care provider. She was a wonderful listener and truly took the time to hear all of my concerns without rushing through the appointment. I felt genuinely cared for and understood, which isn’t something you always get in healthcare these days. I left feeling confident about my next steps and grateful to have her as my doctor. Highly recommend!

Smooth process and clear execution and engagement
I was initially emailed that my appointment cancelled and when I called to confirm, I was told it was an error on their end. They didn’t take the initiative to let me know the appointment was still on and this was 1 day before my appointment. I show up to my appointment and the receptionists are nice, but the doctor definitely leans toward treating symptoms rather than trying to figure out what’s wrong. Nothing was prescribed during my physical, but when I shared my concerns, I was met with “let’s consider [x, y and z] medication.” Perhaps it is this doctor’s style but I’m always leery when doctor’s default to medications as primary solution from the get-go. In addition, when I asked if they could retake my blood pressure, the doctor denied my request. I left the office early, as there was no trust built. To top it off, I was told labs take 2-4 weeks. I was treated with respect, but I would never go here again.
Our visit with Dr. Paola was exceptional. She took the time to listen attentively to all of our needs and was incredibly accommodating to our family. We truly appreciate her attention to detail and the care she provided. If you're considering her in the future, we highly recommend her!

Dr. Ortiz was super polite. Actively listened. Respected boundaries. Her and her staff were very respectful of my trans identity. They never deadnamed me, not in emails/phone calls/ or during the initial visit. Little to no wait time seeing my her after the check in process was done. It’s a new office for them so it still needs some decoration, currently feels a bit sterile. You can tell they invested their money in patient care. They have a portal system to see all of your medical data with them. In the exam rooms they have touch screen monitors that go over health related issues you can browse about and even see anatomy. All the furniture felt new and clean. The location is great for people on public transit, just a few steps away from the Norwalk Transit stop that also takes you to the metro C Line. If you get hungry before or after your visit, there’s plenty of food around to pick from. I will be back to see Dr. Ortiz. Looking forward to see how they grow. LGBTQIA friendly too!
