Dr. Rovner is a highly esteemed orthopedic surgeon serving New Jersey and the surrounding New York area at Tristate Spine and Sports Surgery. With over two decades of clinical experience, he has garnered international recognition for his expertise. Patients have traveled from various parts of the world to seek treatment at his two locations in Garden City, New York, and Bloomfield, New Jersey. Following his graduation from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in biological science and economics, Dr. Rovner pursued his medical degree at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. He completed an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx and an orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery, Dr. Rovner has undergone extensive training in advanced procedures such as cervical fusion, microdiscectomy, and minimally invasive lumbar fusion. Beyond spinal surgery, he possesses extensive post-graduate training in arthroscopy of the extremities, encompassing meniscal tears, ACL tears, rotator cuff tears, and labral tears. Dr. Rovner prioritizes minimally invasive procedures whenever feasible, which facilitates smaller incisions, reduced blood loss, expedited rehabilitation, and the restoration of full function. Dr. Rovner is dedicated to continuous professional development. He remains at the forefront of advancements in orthopedic medicine and spinal surgery. In addition to attending educational courses and symposia, Dr. Rovner has been honored to deliver lectures to esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. Dr. Rovner has been recognized as one of America’s Top Orthopedists by the Consumers’ Research Council of America and has received the Patient’s Choice Award consecutively over several years. He serves as the president of New York Spine and Sports Surgery and is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Rovner participates in most health insurance plans with Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) coverage.

I truly loved Dr.Rovner he was absolutely amazing, he was very knowledgeable, polite, kind & knew exactly what was going on with me & after almost 16yrs of dealing with sciatica & it is now getting to the point where the pain is unbearable so much so I can’t even accomplish everyday activities it’s the worst thing to ever have to deal with but right away Dr.Rovner knew what was going on & instantly provided relief techniques & physical therapy so I think after all these years of doctor after doctor never helping me, I’m quite sure I have finally found one who will.
