Craig Kayaian, LMHC
As a native New Yorker and mature clinician, my work with both individuals and couples is informed by a broad cultural and professional background ranging from banking, law, and consulting, to art, tech & culinary startups, creative, alternative, and nightlife roles. I leverage this first-hand understanding, and collaborate with clients to contextualize your own environments and life experiences, and to manifest a more complete, confident, empathic, and empowered version of yourself.
Particular topical interests include identity structure, relationship effectiveness, emotion regulation, and development of mindfulness. Within each of these areas I combine an Existentialist orientation with a holistic approach, integrating elements of CBT, Empowerment / Feministic, and Choice theories.
I work across a spectrum of many diverse cultures and the ‘A-track’ professional, creative / maker, LGBTQNb+, alternative, sex & kink positive communities. This focus includes self-concept & identity, relationship behaviors, anxiety & depression, trauma & abuse, grief & loss, substance use, eating & personality disorders, and general life stressors & goals.
