Creative Art Therapy Place, PLLC
Imagine a space where you can be totally and completely yourself without fear of judgement. Healing is a creative and personal process which requires us to use many tools. Together, we can navigate the art studio to express conflicted emotions, practice mindfulness, reflect and create insight into your inner world. I provide an integrative approach to therapy that marries both art therapy and traditional psychotherapy. No experience using art materials is needed. Here we can traverse the challenges of daily life, promote positive change, improve self-esteem, destress and cultivate a creative outlet to process difficult experiences.
I received my Master's Degree from NYU and work as a Creative Arts Therapist in Inpatient Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital. In addition to Art Therapy, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques for my patients to promote positive thinking, improve interpersonal relationships, practice mindfulness and reduce anxiety and stress. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults of all ages, and specialize in helping those living with anxiety, bipolar disorder, life transitions, behavioral disorders, trauma and depression. My practice Art Therapy Place also offers art therapy group sessions and workshops to help you connect with a community of like-minded peers practicing self-care.
Love yourself. Build yourself up. You deserve to be happy. Join me for therapeutic art-making, analysis, and integrative care. Take this time to invest in a creative outlet and gain support.

I’ve been seeing brittany for 2 years now and I cant recommend her enough!! She’s very present and observant. She has created a welcoming, and very cool, space that’s allowed for so much personal growth and insight. There are a bunch of different art mediums available to play with. I feel lucky and excited going every week.

This was my first experience in therapy and honestly it was really wonderful. Brittany made me feel really comfortable and I feel like I've been able tapped into some aspects of myself that I needed to. For what it's worth, the value is absolutely there. Plus, there's also group therapy here, which is something I've begun to really enjoy.

I've been a patient of Ms Knapp's for a few years and I credit her stewardship for much of my #Menralhealth growth. She has a keen ability to read her clients Nd to recognize where on the journey to healing we are.
For me learning to accept my anger and trauma was the hardest part of healing but Brittany showed me techniques to mitigate the guilt over the anger and to accept the situation I am grappling with.
Most importantly, visualization is the first part of changing my circumstances. It may sound trite bit without my vision board I would be out to sea, lost.
Ms Knapp is a specialist in helping people grapple w trauma and her own life experience I forms her therapy: this part was critical for me.
