Crow's Chroma Art Therapy
Crow's Chroma Art Therapy is a private practice offering online counseling and art therapy to adults across Indiana. Sessions are led by Hannah 'Grae' Krodel, LMHC, ATR-BC, a licensed mental health counselor and registered art therapist who brings creative expression and professional counseling together into one integrated approach.
Healing beyond words
Some experiences are hard to put into words. Art therapy offers another way in. By working with color, texture, image, and form, you can explore feelings, process difficult experiences, and notice patterns that talk alone might not reach. Then we reflect on what you've made together, at your pace, in a way that fits your goals.
You don't need to be an artist or have any art experience to benefit. Art therapy is about the process, not the product. Some sessions may be mostly conversation, some mostly creating, and many a mix of both.
Who I work with
I work with people who are navigating:
Anxiety and stress
Trauma and difficult life experiences
Feeling stuck, creatively blocked, or disconnected from yourself
Life transitions and questions of identity and meaning
Burnout and emotional exhaustion
Art therapy can be especially helpful if you've tried traditional talk therapy and found it hard to put things into words, or if you're simply curious about a more creative, hands-on approach to healing.
My approach
I believe every stroke tells a story. My work is collaborative, affirming, and grounded in respect for your experience and your autonomy. I aim to create a safe, inclusive space where you can be yourself fully, whether you arrive with a clear goal or just a sense that something needs to change.
As a mixed-media artist myself, I know firsthand how making something can help us understand ourselves. I earned my MA in Mental Health Counseling (Art Therapy Track) from the University of Indianapolis and hold the ATR-BC credential from the Art Therapy Credentials Board.
What to expect
All sessions are held online through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, so you can attend from the privacy and comfort of your own home anywhere in Indiana. In our first session, we'll talk about what brings you in, what you hope to get out of therapy, and how creative work might fit into that. I'll suggest simple materials you likely already have at home; nothing fancy is required.
Sessions are individual and scheduling is flexible to fit your life.
Insurance
I'm in-network with many major plans, including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna/Evernorth, Carelon, Ascension SmartHealth, and Curative, as well as Aetna, Anthem, and Cigna EAPs. Coverage varies by plan, so please verify your benefits when booking.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting your path toward healing and self-discovery.
