I'm not sure if this is a Zocdoc issue or the doctor's front desk issue, but every appointment gets canceled 1 hour prior to visit. Im GenX, I'll just scroll through the yellow pages to find reliable help.

Extremely poor. I gave those 5 stars just to get to the next screen and to be fair to the doctor. However, on the question of recoomendation, I answered never because someone from the office called me and essentially pre-emptively cancelled the appointment.

This was strange: there was no message with the link to video call from the doctor (as was promised in the automatic messages), so I had to call the office. They said it was to be only an intake appointment (no idea how and when it was supposed to happen), and the closest appointment date available was in fact in November. I also couldn’t hear the support lady on the phone very well — the sound quality was low. Based on other reviews here, Dr. Elina Kugel is nice and professional, but I’m really confused by her office’s scheduling procedure ???????

The provider never emailed me and didn’t even tell me anything. I was looking for a zoom link but never got one. I called the office but it was closed. Something broke down here. Not sure if it was zocdoc or the provider, but this was a pretty bad experience for me. Would not recommend until you all figure out what went wrong. And I better not be charged for a thing.

My experience with Dr. Barkey was very positive. He took the time to explain the results of my evaluation and provided examples that allowed me to better understand everything while taking extra time for questions. Overall, from start to finish including booking was very easy with other staff being helpful. Definitely recommend him and the practice.

I received a voicemail to call before the visit. When I called 30 minutes before, I was told he would have to see us in a few hours, after reviewing detailed notes I had provided the day before. I agreed, but the insurance clerk stated they could not take my BCBS FEP card I had photographed and sent online because my husband's name was on the card instead of mine. In 15 years, no one has stated my name had to be on my insurance card from my husband's civil service insurance. (BCBS states they were incorrect). They also tried to have us book with a dissertation student when we had asked for a psychologist. I'm not sure of the reason; maybe teletherapy gets lower preference? We'll be looking for better quality care.

I made an appointment with this provider, missed the initial call, called back several times and no communication for anything. My appointment time rolled around and I was awaiting instructions on how to get in contact with the provider or for them to contact me and nothing happened.
