About Our Practice At Dahan Wellness Center, we provide comprehensive, compassionate, evidence-based obesity medical care to improve health and well-being. Our approach combines individualized lifestyle interventions and, when appropriate, medication to support sustainable, long-term weight loss. We also provide support to prevent and minimize side effects of medication. We recognize that meaningful, lasting change takes time and ongoing support. The initial 90-minute visit includes a comprehensive evaluation of factors contributing to excess weight, related health complications, and treatment expectations. Together, we develop an individualized treatment plan. Follow-up visits last 30–40 minutes and are typically scheduled every 2–4 weeks during the first year. Because effective obesity treatment requires time and ongoing care that insurance reimbursement often does not adequately support, we do not accept health insurance. Insurance and Reimbursement Dr. Dahan does not accept insurance or communicate directly with insurance companies. After payment, patients can obtain an electronic receipt through the AdvancedMD patient portal to submit to their insurance plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Before scheduling, we recommend contacting your insurance company to verify out-of-network benefits, deductible requirements, and reimbursement rates. Insurance plans typically do not reimburse the full visit cost. Fees • Initial 90-minute evaluation: $800 • Follow-up visits (30–40 minutes): $500 • Annual membership with unlimited visits: $7,000
