Dr. Kao is professional and empathetic. Highly recommend.
The office staff are lovely.
My only caveat is that the treatment areas in the Manhattan office are crowded, chaotic, noisy and not as private as might be desired.

Clean office. Too impatient, or anxious people in terms of the workers. Dr is OK, till a certain point. Suspect Dr, but if you want to try him that’s up to you.

Great staff at this location! Not only was doctor Kao professional, caring, and courteous. He also really LISTENED to my issue were and prescribed a treatment in alignment with actual healing. Way different from the cold sterile pill popper doc. Again Kao's office is a true healing space I would reccomend.

If you can't run there, get in a wheelchair and race to the office. A true Western Doctor with Eastern Healing prinicples. I'd rather keep this place a secret, but truth of the matter is this practice should be the model of pain management nationwide. Massage, Acupuncture, Cupping and a shot where needed. Feeling better the day after my first visit. I'll be a patient for life for sure.

Above and beyond. Entire staff treated me. Pain shot, diagnosis, acupuncture, ultrasound, electric stim, PT, massage.
Highly recommend!!

Long story short. Booked an appointment for my bf because he have been having shoulder pain, without listening to his explanation and check carefully, the doctor inject an injection on his shoulder saying that would help him to ease his pain but that actully cost him more pain then ever. After few times of visit at this office, his pain only got worst and the doctor won’t take MRI till my bf insisted what they have done for him only damage him more than before he even start seeing them. At the end, he went to NYU hospital and found out the injection actually cost him more harm then helping and now he needs to go under surgery to get the water out.
So if you are having serious pain and worried, you really should think carefully before making an appointment for this place.

My visit was very smooth and informative. What I enjoyed about Dr. Kao is his gentle disposition. Everyone at the office was friendly and efficient with the care they provided. With me being an essential worker myself, he understood and was compassionate about the discomfort I’ve been having.

I'm so glad I went to see Dr. Kao! He helped me feel so much better after I injured my back in an accident. I was so relieved when I went to see him because he was very supportive and understanding of my situation. He was able to help me understand several ways to reduce my back pain, and I found him to be very caring and he offered great service. I have improved mobility too ~ what a pleasant surprise. :) I recommend Dr. Kao to anyone who needs help from a kind, knowledgeable, and supportive doctor!

Scheduling an appointment was easy and smooth, and I didn't have to wait past my appointment time when I arrived! I'm usually reluctant to go see a doctor, but my lower back pain was getting bad enough to make me dread getting out of bed. My experience with Dr. Kao was both comfortable and professional - he gave a detailed explanation of my injury, and did a quick procedure which fixed my pain immediately! He also suggested a few exercises and stretches I could do to minimize my injury risk in the future. It was so nice to see a doctor who takes the time for each of their patients, and I would unquestionably recommend him to all of my family and friends!

Dr. Kao is a fantastic doctor - it is really important to me that my physician takes the time to answer my questions and considers my worries when it comes to my body. He has a great bedside/patient manner, and I feel welcome and comfortable the moment I set foot into the office. He provided both immediate relief to my back injury, and he also suggested ways I could reduce my risk of injury in the future. I would 100% go again if something when I need a spine physician!
