Doctor, I want to know what happened? I went to the pharmacy and didn't have a prescription. I've already been taking my medication for two days, and you haven't given me any explanation. I'm sorry, but I think this shows a lack of responsibility on the part of a doctor towards their patient.

I waited an entire month for my scheduled appointment, only to be told at the actual appointment that she couldn’t see me because it was a conflict of interest since I already have a psychiatrist. The frustrating part is that I clearly stated on all the intake forms—submitted a month in advance—that I had a psychiatrist. If this was going to be an issue, I should have been informed immediately, not after waiting weeks for care. This delay cost me time I could have used to find a provider who could work with me. The only positive thing is she didn't charge me.

She is very friendly and warm and makes the process of getting meds WAY less scary. In the past I was told “you have symptoms of ___ but not enough to get meds or a diagnosis, but here’s some Zoloft if that helps” but Dr. Demetria made me feel heard and talked me very clearly through the process and was able to give me a diagnosis.
