Here in Manhattan, Dental Serenity is dedicated to not only caring for patients’ teeth, but improving their overall quality of life as well. They stay right at the forefront of new developments in the dental world and pursue hundreds of hours of continuing education a year to ensure that their quality of treatment is exceptional in every way. From the moment you step through the front door, you’ll be treated to a serene and comfortable experience that leaves you smiling!
Dr. Nina (Li-Sin) Chang is a thorough, compassionate dentist treating patients in New York City and the surrounding communities. Her primary goal as a practitioner is to help people, and her approach combines gentle care with conservative treatment.
To conduct her pre-medical studies, Dr. Chang attended Columbia University. She pursued her dental education in the United States at the University of Pittsburgh and the Flushing Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Chang has received special training in mini-implants and Invisalign braces. She is now a member of professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Orthodontics.
Patients visiting Dr. Chang can receive a full range of both general and cosmetic dental services. She provides extractions, root canal therapy, fillings, braces, crowns, and dentures. Gum surgery and treatment for dental emergencies are also available. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Chang enjoys reading, yoga, travel, and cooking.

Nina’s practice has deteriorated since she left for Taiwan and then she had her most talented dentists run it, then they also left. It’s overpriced and she doesn’t care about her patients. I emailed her and never heard back.

This was one of the most thorough cleanings I’ve ever had in my life. The hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and Dr. Chang gave a fulsome review of my oral health.

AWESOME Dentist! I haven't been in 2 years - they were respectful and gave me great concern to any nervousness I showed. Previous dentists have told me I needed mass amounts of work but Dr. Chang showed me the minor work that is needed. HIGHLY recommend to anyone who gets dentist anxiety

This office/staff has revamped my dentist experience. An amazing and knowledgeable staff that are willing to teach, answer questions and are thorough. All of my X-rays were reviewed with me with terminology that I can understand and action plans that were realistic to what I can do right now to maintain and contribute towards my oral health. Clean and modern office AND there's a TV on the ceiling where you can watch Netflix during your cleaning/services AND it's a massage chair. (I felt like a dentist princess lol) I've never bragged about my dentist experience before but I left the office in a way better mood than I had arrived - which is usually the opposite lol. Completely recommend!

the doctor is very scrupulous and goes above and beyond to check how your teeth and gums are. she walks you through everything by showing your x rays on a screen and takes the time to answer all of your questions.

Dental Serenity was the most incredible Dental experience I've come across. The staff was so friendly and professional. It was my first visit and they took dental X-rays of my entire mouth, actual photo images for 'before' images. Then they proceeded with the cleaning. I have super sensitive teeth to cold air and instead of using the automatic dental equipment, the dental hygienist did everything manually, which I was so grateful for.
Dr. Chang came in after the cleaning and went over all the x-rays and images of my teeth with me one by one and went over each tooth individually in regards to any work that needed to be done. She answered any questions I had very patiently and in depth and answered any alternative treatment method questions that came up. She gave me her professional opinion but never did she try to force a course of action but rather asked what I felt comfortable doing moving forward. A truly incredible experience and hope to move forward with working with Dr. Chang and her incredible staff.

Dr. Nina was very thorough, she spent a lot of time examining things that many other dentists miss or often bypass in favor of getting to the next patient. She was able the catch the issues that my other dentists missed in the past and suggested preventative methods to improve the health of my teeth in the long run. You really feel like she cares about your genuine well being instead of just being someone to make money off of.

Well, it is super pricy. I changed to other dentist now and my bill cut 3/4. The front desk charges you a lot not sure why. I was a patient for Dr. Chang for about 2 years, and finally I switched because none of my friends have higher treatment bill than me.
