Dr. Avner, a native New Yorker, proudly serves as a leading dentist on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. His passion for dentistry began at Adelphi University where he graduated as part of a 7-year B.S/D.D.S joint degree program. Eager to enhance his clinical expertise, he completed a challenging one-year residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, where he excelled as the top resident in his class.
Dr. Avner’s commitment to providing cutting-edge dental care has driven him to continuously advance his skills. He has completed advanced courses in aesthetics, periodontics, and oral surgery through Live Implant Training surgical program, earning the prestigious status of Fellow Implantologist in both the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI) and American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP).
As a firm believer in conservative, preventative dentistry, Dr. Avner strives to help his patients maintain the beauty and function of their smiles for a lifetime. I am extremely impressed by the quality and proactiveness of this office! The doctor was proactive and suggested that I replace my retainers, something I had been debating personally but none of my prior dentists ever brought up. I was also impressed by the quality of the hygienist, with their water pick and use of a 3d scanner for your mouth!
I don't love that the office's reception is very old-school, powered by phone calls and paper documents. But outside from that I had a fantastic experience.

This was the best dental experience I have EVER had!
I had a root canal done by a different provider last week and began having intense pain this weekend. I found Dr. Avner Mullokandov on ZocDoc, made an appointment, and his staff reached out to offer me an earlier appointment if I wanted which was so thoughtful. I went and they were incredible. Staff were efficient - no wait time. And they all listened to my concerns, took X-Rays, identified the problem, and had it fixed in minutes. I am so grateful!

I had to find a new dentist because of my new job’s insurance coverage. Dr. Anver is conveniently located nearby my workplace so securing an evening appointment was a breeze. The staff were welcoming and accepted my forms i submitted on ZocDoc so i didn’t have to waste time refilling them. I was called into a treatment room almost instantly. X-rays were a breeze, Mustafa, the hygienist, did a thorough cleaning, and the doctor came in to discuss my options for a replacement crown and Invisalign. We discussed a solid treatment plan to get all of this completed before the end of the year and the doctor offered me a convenient payment plan and special to make things super affordable! Would highly recommend. Happy that I found them.
