The staff at HOCO derm is top notch. I used to see Dr. Risonis before he retired and he was an excellent doctor. Now i see Dr. Girradi and he too is an excellent kind knowledgeable doctor Ganesh

The experience was excellent with the possible exception of the website. The documents are presented so you can fill them out prior to your first visit but there seems to be an issue with several Adobe pdf files not opening. This was on 12/3/21 and it was reported so hopefully that has been solved. Otherwise i found the doctor and his staff to be quite professional. I felt that they were open about letting me know what to expect and answered all of my questions.

The doc was great! He listened and explained things really well and I felt very taken care of. However the process of scheduling an appointment and contacting the office was a NIGHTMARE. I never once got them to answer the phone. When initially scheduling over text (one of their preferred ways) they stopped responding halfway through after sending them pictures of my insurance. Zocdoc was the ONLY way I could get an appointment. So unfortunately if you need to be able to reach the office I do not recommend them. On my way out I heard a woman who had the exact same problem so I was not alone.

I am very pleased with my appointment with Dr. Girardi this morning. He is very professional, timely, and efficient, as is his staff. Most importantly, Girardi is is a doctor, not an esthetician or salesman. It is getting harder to find dermatologists who aren't more concerned with pushing products and brands than treating patients, ethically. He is honest about what is a viable, worthwhile treatment option vs a fad or anecdotal solution. The same goes for questions research has still not answered. He made sure my questions were answered before I left, and treated me with respect and empathy the entire time. I went to him for CCCA, a form of alopecia that typically affects black women. I recommend him 100%.

Nice and competent young doctor with friendly staff and almost no wait time. I did need to reiterate the primary reason for my visit and I did feel a bit like I was just a widget in a fast-moving factory, but I got done what I needed and was in and out the door in less than 20 minutes.
