The doctor seemed quite convinced of what was causing my hip problem after very little discussion and wanted to give a steroid shot right away. I declined that, partly because I wasn't sure about insurance coverage and partly because I had already told him that a previous steroid shot only lasted about 3-4 weeks. It didn't seem like a long term solution but rather a band-aid for the moment. He suggested exercises and massaging tools I might use to easy my discomfort. He was very nice overall and sympathetic.

The appointment from start to finish was great! The staff was friendly and professional. I was seen at my appointment time and had no wait once I was in the treatment room. It was my first visit with Dr Shakir and I will definitely return for any knee issues I may have. He was thorough, explained everything clearly, and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recomment Dr Shakir.
