The therapy session was not taken by Dr. king and I was told she is just the owner and face or the company and doesn’t hold sessions herself.
I got Dee as a therapist who was nice and my review has nothing to do with her, but if Dr King cannot hold sessions herself she shouldn’t post her profile on booking platforms
I have very complex issues and to go through all of them in a session was
traumatic and after my first session I got an email that Dr. King will not accept me as a patient and next sessions will also have to be scheduled with her staff again if I want to continue the therapy
I feel more traumatic than before after reliving everything for nothing

Excellent she listened like a good friend and was open and honest about what I needed yet was very sensitive to my sensitivities. Ten out of ten. I felt so comfortable, seen, and heard. She was very knowledgeable and set goals that I felt were attainable. What a great experience! I can go on and on. Truly exceed my expectations.

I didn't see Dr. Veronica King, I say Tayler Simon. I thought Tayler was lovely and I would recommend her to others. I cannot say I would I had a good experience with the office however. Since Zocdoc listed Dr. King's practice under Psychiatrists I was under the impression I was seeing someone who could prescribe medications. I learned at the end of my appointment that they cannot prescribe medications. That's fine, but then I called the office to discontinue services and left a voicemail. I got a text from what I can imagine is the office, and the message was dry, bordering on unprofessional. They didn't even cancel my appointments. I had to call again after I got an email about my upcoming appointment to make sure services were discontinued.

Dr. King was out so an assistant called me to discuss if I wanted to move ahead. I was given time to carouse their site and choose a provider that I was comfortable with. I went with Makedra Ivy. Loved her energy. She made me feel comfortable during the intake process. Conversation flowed naturally. She asked big questions but also leaned into the moments that weren’t as scripted. Her empathy and compassion landed well. She wasn’t so rigid that it felt overly clinical, more like a chat between folks who were getting to know each other. After the video conference she sent a message with her number and email. I appreciated that. I will definitely see her again.

Dr.King has made the experience of active therapy so enjoyable and truly amazing. The bad time and the good moments she has tools she can share with you to handle life as it comes. The idea of learning how to deal with past trauma and day to day triggers are areas we all tend to shy away from but DrKing has a way of ensuring your journey remains on track through self realization and so many wonderful breathing techniques. She has demonstrated that not all is lost in the mist of darkness hope arrives in many forms and she has been the light for many of us and I hope she can be there for you as well!
