Diabetes Insight and Weight Management is owned by Sherine Solomon APRN, NP-BC, CDCES. Sherine originates from the rural parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica, where her early experiences helped shape a lifelong commitment to compassionate and community-centered care. Her passion for Endocrinology was ignited during her tenure in clinical research at the renowned Joslin Diabetes Center, a pivotal experience that laid the foundation for her specialized career.
Beginning as a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care, Sherine later transitioned into Endocrinology, where she has served with distinction for over a decade. She is also a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, with extensive experience in the management of Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes, as well as other complex endocrine conditions including Osteoporosis and Thyroid Disorders.
Deeply committed to health equity and culturally responsive care, Sherine integrates a person-centered approach that empowers patients to actively participate in the co-creation of holistic, sustainable treatment plans. Her clinical philosophy emphasizes respect, empathy, and evidence-based practice.
Outside of her professional life, Sherine finds joy in supporting her children’s sporting and academic endeavors, exploring new destinations, and engaging in novel experiences that enrich her personal and professional perspective.
