Diana Christoforou LCSW/Therapist

Life can feel overwhelming when you’re trying to manage several things at once: anxiety, depression, ADHD or other forms of neurodivergence, the impact of past experiences or trauma, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or simply the feeling that you’re struggling to keep up with everything expected of you. You may know what you want to do, but still feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or unsure of where to begin. Sometimes past experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, respond to stress, or navigate relationships without us even realizing how much they are affecting us in the present. I believe therapy is a collaborative process of understanding what is happening beneath the surface, recognizing the strengths and coping skills you already have, and finding ways to make life feel more manageable. Together, we can explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, experiences, and behaviors while developing practical tools to help you navigate the challenges in front of you. My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I don't believe therapy is about “fixing” you or forcing you to fit into someone else's idea of how you should function. Instead, we work together to understand how your mind and experiences work, reduce the shame and self-criticism that can get in the way, and build strategies that work for you. Treatment may involve developing greater emotional awareness, managing anxiety and mood, working through the effects of difficult or traumatic experiences, understanding ADHD and executive functioning challenges, reducing overwhelm, building self-confidence, and learning practical strategies for navigating everyday life. Most importantly, therapy can be a place where you don't have to figure everything out alone. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, understand yourself with greater compassion, and become better equipped to manage life's challenges—so you can move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and a stronger sense of yourself
