? The only thing Zodoc didn’t mention about this doctor is that you have to pay for a $2000 membership in order to see the doctor again.? Therefore, making it harder to be able to see the same doctor next time. I would have wanted to meet with a doctor that could potentially become my new PCP but now I still have to find a PCP.

I really enjoyed my time with Dr. Ora. She was a great listener. we went into detail of my history and my concerns. She made me feel extremely comfortable and actioned on my concerns, which was was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend her.

She is a sweet doctor but I was a little thrown off when I learned that this is a concierge practice and that I would have to pay an annual membership if I wanted to continue seeing her.. that should be disclosed before scheduling the appt. I would only recommend if you want to pay additional $$ out of pocket aside from your insurance.

Dr. Pearlstein was very friendly and knowledgeable! She listened to everything I had to say and gave a lot of helpful suggestions. She made me feel very comfortable on my first visit, and she definitely made me feel comfortable enough to come back.

I saw the physician’s assistant who was absolutely great. One of the receptionists was a bit unpleasant in her demeanor and manner. Despite her off putting personality the PA was and the tech who took my blood and EKG were pleasant enough to offset her not so customer friendly attitude

Dr. Pearlstein is amazing, knowledgable, Harvard-trained, warm, empathetic. But her office, and NYU in general is a nightmare. I was taken to collections twice because they sent the bill to 2 separate wrong addresses.

Techincally I only saw Dr. Ora Pearlstein for a brief moment but her physician's assistant Lindsay Esposito was incredible. She was personable, intelligent and listened to what I needed above and beyond. I believe they always work as a team so as this duo I definitely recommend them.

I saw Dr. Pearlstein for the first time after terrible experience& lack of care with my previous doctor. She is really nice& kind& caring- she actually listens to your problem, family history, does a thorough exam& explains things well. She did not rush me at all. Good doctors are surprisingly hard to find and I am glad I've found someone I like! Highly recommend her

I had two appointments with Dr. Pearlstein, the first was fine, the second was not so great. I was on the hunt for a new primary care physician, so the first time I went in for a check up, and to get a new birth control prescription (for a different medication, as the one I was on was giving me some problems). This appointment was at Downtown Primary Care's old office near NYU, and while their actual office was a bit difficult to find within the building, the space was nice. At this appointment, I was actually mainly seen by the Physician's Assistant, who's name I don't remember, but she was LOVELY. Very professional, competent, but also warm and sweet, and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Pearlstein came in at the end and went over the RX she wanted to prescribe, and it was all fine. I felt good about the treatment, good about the appointment, etc. I also received a follow up call from the P.A. about a week later to go over some reports from the first appointment, which was really great.
Then the office moved, which is always a bummer. Of course it's not their fault and doesn't reflect poorly on their practice at all, but location is a major factor in why I chose them as my primary care practice. But regardless, I'd been happy with my first appointment and was happy to travel downtown for a second appointment probably a year later. That second appointment was a little rough. I just needed to get their sign-off to renew a prescription, then wanted to ask about another issue I'd been experiencing. I arrived on time, waited nearly 40 minutes for someone to call my name. And then I was asked to wait in a room that was full of unpacked boxes, sitting on a metal folding chair (it wasn't an exam room, there was no exam chair or table or anything). I waited there with no idea what was going on for 10 mins. Then Dr. Pearlstein came in and asked what I'd come in for, I started to explain, and she said that actually I should keep waiting until the exam room across the hall was empty. So another 5 mins, then she came back in. The appointment itself was more or less fine, but she seemed distracted and rushed. I spent some time explaining my issue to her, and she asked a couple of really basic questions ("Have you tried keeping track of what you're eating?" "Yes." "Do you have any food allergies?" "No.") and then was kind of like, "Huh. Well, I'm not really sure...maybe just keep an eye on it and see what happens?". Which is, I mean, exactly what I'd been doing and not the answer you expect or want to hear from a doctor. So I kind of just left uncomfortably and with no answers, and also really feeling like she didn't care about me as a patient. So. She's totally competent, I have no doubt, but a 50/50 track record doesn't instill confidence in me. I'm looking for a new doctor MAINLY because the location of Dr. Pearlstein new office is so inconvenient for me, to be clear, not because I think she's awful. Just wasn't a good experience for me.

Second time seeing Dr Pearlstein, she answered all of my questions and offered solutions to the problems I came to her with. Little bit of a wait, but appointment was efficient and labwork was drawn quickly. Would definitely recommend.

After my long time primary care provider retired i needed a new one and Dr. Pearlstein came highly recommended. She is complete in her assessment of the patient and really takes the time to listen to the patient. I have always found my visits more then satisfactory.
The few times i was ill and had to get in right away i saw the PA who was also fantastic. I know i am in good hands with Downtown Primary.

Doctor Pearlstein was wonderful, she did apologize for the 11 min delay. She paid full attentions to me, acknowledged all my concerns and aligned with me to make me feel comfortable with my decisions. I did get some blood drawn and the other staff told me she is the best and will contact me with my results. The fact that the team loved her and had positive feedback regarding her work ethics made me feel comfortable with my decision to choose her.
