Dr. Daniel Hu is a board certified OB/GYN specializing in women’s health and pregnancy. He received his medical degree at Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska
and completed his residency at the University of Missouri Kansas City at St. Luke’s Hospital. Being in practice for over 30 years in the Phoenix area he has performed over 9000 deliveries and 2500 C-sections. He provides prenatal care from early pregnancy through delivery and postpartum.
Dr Hu also specializes in woman exams, irregular bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, a variety of types of birth control, surgeries for sterilization and robotic hysterectomy.
In his spare time, Dr Hu enjoys the outdoors, camping, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family.

I felt like he was rather dismissive of me. Not wanting to have a conversation about my goals or concerns health wise. When he came into the room he seemed to only be interested in being understood, not in listening to understand me and what I've been going through. I was grateful for the same day appointment & understand he has other patients to see, but overall I'm disappointed with the treatment plan moving forward. I think he is more focused on treating women having babies and couldn't care less about any other health problems related to reproductive care. I also found it strange that he tried to scare me away from getting my blood drawn at an outside lab (their tech was out sick today) He told me I would wait hours and hours when in truth I was in & out from my blood draw faster than I was from his office.

I live an hour away but the reviews were so good I chose to make the drive for a consultation appointment, I walked in waited for a few minutes, was taken to a room, he asked me 3 questions then said scheduling would reach out to me so id have to have another consultation then schedule the surgery I was looking for then he walked out, I was in the waiting room longer than i spoke with the Dr. My appointment was on a friday it is now Wednesday and I have still not heard from anyone.

Dr. Hu and his nurse practitioner Traci made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I switched from my old OB pretty late in my pregnancy and was shocked his practice would take me! They are warm and welcoming and coincidentally, I found out my mom AND my sister had him as their last OB! It definitely made it feel more special knowing my family entrusted him with their deliveries and both were high risk. Thank you Dr. Hu!

Very friendly staff! I felt welcomed and at ease when I arrived which was great because check ups give me anxiety. They listened and even helped me out with pricing details. Will definitely come back for a follow up!

Dr. Hu was fantastic but the wait time at the office is beyond ridiculous! I almost left before even seeing the doctor. But my experience with Dr. Hu was very pleasant. I'd swith to Dr. Hu in a heartbeat if the wait time at the office is not so long. I was there all afternoon even though I went in with an appt.

I know doctors have emergencies, which can't be helped. But it's professional for the staff to ask if the patient can wait and communicate instead of assuming they'll wait.

Bad experience waited over an hr and 30 min for the dr to come into the room one time. He didn’t seem to care or listen to why I came in. He was very cold, and blew me off. I advised from desk when they wanted to set me up a return appointment I would never be coming back.

Smooth process especially for a new patient appt. The doctor got called to a delivery so they offered to have another provider see me so I won’t have to wait. She was very kind and efficient. Lab in office was a nice bonus.

This was my first GYN visit, for a rash. I’d never had issues and only had partners who tested negative for STDs. The doctor didn’t explain the sample process, assumed it was herpes, gave me a pamphlet, and prescribed 1000 mg of antivirals—without doing a full STD screening. I had a bad reaction, and my PCP later said the dose was too high for my body weight. Further, the GYN’s office called and claimed there was absolutely no reason for my reaction, even though a quick Google search shows such symptoms are common, even at correct doses. I got second opinions from two other doctors who did proper testing (blood and urine) without requiring undressing. It turned out to be a UTI, and all STD tests were negative.

I’m not comfortable with this type of procedures or exams. I get anxiety. I’m shocked at how Dr. Hu and his staff made me very comfortable. My anxiety was next to none. He chatted with me and I never felt I was rushed. This place is now my regular OB.

The receptionist was very kind and patient. The blood tech was very kind, great conversationalist. The Nurse "Tiffany" however had little to no bedside manner, was very judgmental, slightly rude and made my significant other uncomfortable even tho he stayed up after his overnight job to join me for my appointment. 1/5 star I do not plan on going back after my ultrasound.
