Dr. Inzinna Psychological Services PLLC

Our mission is to increase access to high-quality and affordable mental health services. In 2016, Dr. Inzinna received a research grant from Manhattan University and published his 'Merging Disciplines and Deconstructing the Self: The Effects of Psychosis on Identity' to study his own grandfather's case of schizophrenia, and resulting homelessness, and what it can tell us about our society and the current state of mental health care. Unfortunately, what he found was not surprising: the stigma of mental illness can lead to isolation from friends and family, and the mental health system tends to fail people who cannot afford the highest quality care. To solve this problem, we are working to improve the relationship between providers and health insurance companies. As it stands, far too many providers do not accept health insurance and those who do are often over-worked and under-compensated. Further, cash-pay services are far too expensive - most people cannot afford $250+ per week for services (please see our June 2025 Newsletter below for more information on this). While the industry is working to improve reimbursement rates, we believe that creating a practice where clinicians can feel cared for, connected, and fairly compensated is the key to bringing great clinicians back to in-network insurance participation in a way that does not over-work them. We do this by being less 'greedy' as a practice and by taking out the middle-man, since we are clinician owned and operated. All good therapy gets to the root of the problem. There are many excellent techniques to do this, EMDR, Exposure, CBT, DBT, Psychoanalysis, Family Systems Therapy, Somatic Therapy, etc, but all good therapy prioritizes the patient-provider relationship and works to find the root of the problem. Often, therapy can be focused on reducing symptoms, encouraging medication consults, and 'feeling good.' But we know that these are typically band-aid solutions. Therapy can, but should not always, feel good. Rather, just like life, relationships, work, and school, it should be challenging, even frustrating, if it is going to be helpful. The patient-provider relationship is so important, in part, because it is the foundation on which that difficult work can be done. As with any relationship, it is not always about the right 'fit' or how much you have in common with your provider. Rather, it is more about your willingness to work through differences, be curious about parts of yourself, and build trust within the frame of therapy. Nevertheless, we will work with you to find a provider that can be helpful to you.

Being new to therapy, I was slightly apprehensive about what to expect. However, Gregory Inzinna, PsyD, made the transition into therapy easy and smooth. He is a great listener, so his insight is almost immediate and a very helpful eye-opener.

Karen Terry was polite and warm. She was a great listener and consistently asked questions that made you think more deeply about the subject. She made it comfortable to open up and share experiences and she only responded with the intention to give greater insight on things.

Dr. Lorin Singh is a great match for me. I feel so comfortable opening up to her, and what I love the most is that she holds me accountable. She is direct and honest. It is so clear to me that she has my best interest at heart. I have seen so much positive change and growth in my life since I began speaking with her. Our conversations always feel genuine. This is what therapy should feel like.
