Dr. Rana is an award winning physician who has been practicing in the northern Virginia area for 15 years. Dr. Rana and his staff pride themselves on getting to know their patients on a personal level and knowing them by name when they walk in. Dr. Rana does not accept HMO plans, but will provide a receipt for patients to give to their insurance provider to be reimbursed.

I've only seen Dr. Rana once so far, but in our first meeting I can tell he is fast moving but pragmatic in his approach. He is a good listener and was quick to get to the core of any issue I brought up. His personality is very friendly, open and honest. Overall I liked his good demeanor and his office staff was very friendly and conversational too. I felt welcome and comfortable in the office.

Made appointment and filled out all the necessary insurance and personal info; was notified that I was ready for my appointment. Arrived at the office to be told—by a receptionist who was on the phone at the same time—that the doctor was leaving early. She didn’t have my appointment on the calendar but very quickly found it, saw it was for a suspected sinus infection, and told me verbatim: “We don’t treat sick people like that here.” If you’d like to see a doctor, this doctor’s office is not the place for you. Avoid at all costs.

Dr. Rana was very professional in handling the requests and took the time to understand the situation and provide recommendations. Fatima, who helped out with the blood work was great and made sure the process was as painless as possible. While I was supposed to get my reports in next 2 days, a week and a half later and after 3 phone calls, I am still waiting to receive my reports.

I am a new patient and had to wait an hour and a half to see Dr. Rana, so I was certainly put off by that. However, Dr. Rana was friendly and professional when I did eventually get to see him.
Dr. Rana is very personable, and extremely knowledgeable. I just moved to the area, and am very fortunate to have found Dr. Rana. He took the time to directly address all of my medical concerns, and formulate a plan for my health, as opposed to just putting me on more prescriptions. I spent a total of 45 minutes there for a physical. The Nurse was very helpful and was wonderful to talk to. After running all the tests I waited about 10-15 minutes for the doctor. Doctor was great. Answered all questions. Very nice. Good visit. Note - Parking is $4 and cash only. Be prepared.
I arrived early to fill out my paperwork and was brought back for vitals early as well. The Dr. saw me at my appointed time. He was professional, courteous and friendly. I was a little concerned that his other patients were about 30 years older than I was but I will definitely go back.

I didn't like waiting so long, but knowing that Dr. Rana does hospital rounds when not in the office paired with my scheduling the appointment the day before, after hours, with zocdoc meant he probably didn't know the slot i picked was filled. He answered all my questions.
