Our board certified physician can manage the health care needs for both you and your entire family. We offer preventative services such as comprehensive physical exams which screen all body parts from ocular to skin cancer screening, well newborn and child evaluations, pap tests, prostate screening, immunizations, diet and disease education, sports physicals and foreign travel consultations. We assist the management of chronic medical problems such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, anxiety, depression, asthma, allergy and arthritis. We offer walk-in urgent care for sudden illnesses and injuries. We are capable of minor surgical procedures which include laceration repair, foreign body removal, lancing of cysts or abscesses, mole biopsy and removal, IUD insertion and removal, endometrial biopsy, and Liquid Nitrogen treatments. We offer in office laboratory testing and can refer you for more extensive laboratory and x-ray diagnostic testing. When necessary, we can refer you to a specialist who is contracted with your current health plan.

Doctor listened to all my history and explained that she prioritizes preventative medicine before medicines and I love that. I stand by that mindset and would rather find the root causes of my health problems instead of diving into medicine. Preventative medicine is also why I approached Dr. Sy because I would like to get better and stay better for the long run .

Absolute sweetheart! My first time ever getting a physical exam and my first ever pap smear! I was very worried that it was going to be a terrible experience for my pap smear but it was quick and easy! Dr guided me through the entire process and it was a lot easier than I thought! 100% recommend this office.

dr sy was extremely thorough.. felt like i got a full physical while i was there. i did not feel like i was rushed out of there. very sweet and caring. good listener. seemed well versed on topics outside of her specific field (noticed i grind my teeth, had slow digestion - i went there for a pap smear/annual so i was surprised/impressed she noticed these things). i will definitely be returning if i stay in oc.

Dr Sy was pleasant throughout my first appointment, which was a general physical, until the end. I had a final question for her about my health. While asking her my question, she interrupted me saying, "this is a general physical. I can't be answering multiple questions." She then told me to check out with the girls up front. Upon checking out, I walked back to Dr Sy's office and asked why she answered me in the rude manner she did for my medical related question. She said her "criteria for general physicals is to address 5 things...nothing more!" How is a patient to know that only 5 questions are to be addressed?
The receptionist asked if I'll be getting my blood work done here, I said I don't know if I'll be back again.

i felt very rushed everytime I visit her. she doesn't even make eye contact. Always trying to upsell herbal/therapuetic products. Her nurse assistant Irene is always nice. The receiptionst, (Lucia i think that's her name) is super rude and always condescending whenever you as her a question, like she hates her job. Unfortunately, it is time to look for a different doctor.

I usually avoid doctors because of a lot of bad experiences: not taking time with you, not really listening to you and or throwing a prescription as a cure all. I loved the fact that Dr Sy spent a lot of time with me, listened how I like to approach my health; took lots of notes and is working with me like a team member to figure out what may be wrong. The office staff was equally impressive !

I love Dr Sy and her medical assistant. Dr Sy was very thorough and professional. I was hesitant about my appointment because of the way the front secretary sound on the phone very rough. Even the benefit advocate complained about how she was on the phone when she called the office to fax my insurance benefit. But I was happy I kept my appointment. After all it's not about the secretary it's about the competence of healthcare provider. Thank you Dr Sy.

Dr. Sy is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise indifferent medical community that too often is too busy to talk about anything other than your most important medical concern and where physicians dictate, don't listen, and rush from one examination room to the next. She is very thorough in putting/interpreting past history with current possibilities and crafting a good clinical plan. Dr Sy focuses on the whole body and not just the local area of interest, understanding that the local abnormality often reflects a systemic or multi-systemic problem. I look forward to working with Dr. Sy in management of my overall health.

That was my first visit with doctor Sy and it left me very happy. There is no rush, doctor Sy is ready to take as much time listening to your concerns as needed and I find it very rare. I was glad to find out that she also does well women check up. Great impression overall.
