Dr. Maria Gonzalez de Torres | AIMA Zenith Care
Are you working hard, showing up for others, and trying to keep everything together, but inside you feel overwhelmed, drained, anxious, or mentally exhausted? You may be managing work demands, family responsibilities, major decisions, life transitions, deadlines, and everyone else’s needs while quietly wondering how much longer you can keep going this way.
I work with adults who are balancing anxiety, stress, burnout, emotional overload, caregiver stress, grief, and life changes that may feel difficult to navigate. Many of my clients are capable, responsible, and high-functioning on the outside, but inside they feel stuck in a constant cycle of mental noise, pressure, uncertainty, or exhaustion.
My approach is practical, structured, and supportive. Therapy with me is not about staying stuck in the problem. Together, we focus on what is happening in real life right now, identify patterns that may be keeping you overwhelmed, and build realistic tools you can use between sessions.
I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused strategies, psychoeducation, emotional regulation tools, boundary work, and practical problem-solving to help clients create meaningful change.
I am also a faith-based clinician. For clients who desire it, faith can be integrated into therapy in a respectful and clinically appropriate way. For clients who do not want faith included, therapy remains supportive, professional, and focused on your goals.
Clients often come to me when they are experiencing:
Anxiety or excessive worry
Stress and burnout
Emotional exhaustion
Life transitions
Caregiver stress
Grief and adjustment
Work and family pressure
Difficulty setting boundaries
Mental overload
Feeling stuck or unsure how to move forward
In our work together, we may focus on helping you better understand your thoughts, calm your nervous system, manage emotions, improve communication, strengthen boundaries, reduce mental overload, and take practical steps toward clarity and steadiness.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel supportive, but also useful. You should leave sessions with greater insight, practical tools, and a clearer understanding of your next step.
AIMA Zenith Care is the new public-facing name for my practice, formerly known as Williston Behavioral & Wellness Center, LLC. You may also see my name, Dr. Maria Gonzalez de Torres, listed on insurance or billing information. The mission remains the same: practical, supportive, faith-informed care for adults navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, emotional overload, and life transitions.
Outside of my clinical work, I am an author, speaker, trainer, and course creator. My upcoming book, Renew Your Mind: What Your Past Taught Your Brain and How God Can Change It, along with the companion online course, Renew Your Mind: 7 Sessions with Dr. G, will be released on August 9, 2026.
The book and course were created for women who want to begin the work of renewal, especially those who may not be ready to start therapy yet, may be waiting for the right time, or may need a lower-cost starting point. Therapy is personal and individualized, but the book and course offer a structured educational path at a fraction of the cost of ongoing therapy.
In the online course, I walk you through many of the same practical frameworks, CBT-based tools, reflection exercises, and renewal practices that I use in therapy. You will learn how past experiences can shape thoughts, emotions, body responses, and patterns, and how to begin challenging unhelpful thinking, calming emotional overload, and practicing healthier responses.
The book and course do not replace therapy, diagnosis, or individualized mental health treatment. However, they can be a powerful first step for anyone who wants practical, faith-informed, down-to-earth tools for renewing the mind and creating change.

If you are ready for therapy, I would be honored to support you in that process. If you are not ready for therapy yet, the book and course may be a meaningful place to begin.
You are capable, but you do not have to carry everything by yourself. Support is available, and change can begin with one clear, practical step.
