Dr. Natalya Karpman is a general and cosmetic dentist who has been serving the NYC community and running her private practice for over 30 years. She received her dental degree and residency training from Riga Medical Institute and later received a second degree in General Dentistry from NYU. Dr. Karpman is celebrated for her unparalleled compassion, excellent dentistry, and enthusiasm for helping her patients achieve overall health and well-being. Please be advised that you may reschedule your appointment but there is a $100 fee for cancellations.

Dr. Karpman is an actual angel. I had a filling fall out and she replaced it with love and care. I’d also like to add her bedside manner was 11/10. So attentive and gentle. For someone like me, who is scared of dental work, her professionalism was a godsend.
I was a first time patient and quite frankly, this was the best dental experience I’ve ever had. So caring and skilled. Even though I was in the chair for 2 hours, she made it feel much shorter. She and her team are working hard and should be praised for the overall experience.

Great bedside manner, took the time to listen to my needs and clearly explained the why behind the what so I could make an informed decision. Also explained what was and wasn't covered by insurance so that I wouldn't have any surprises. Honestly, the first time I've ever felt seen and heard by a medical professional. I was in the worst mouth pain i’ve ever experienced and Dr Karpman did a phenomenal job. we had to push my appointment to the next day and she conducted a virtual pre-appointment over the phone and via picture of my mouth over text, and had a prescription sent over to my pharmacy to help with my immediate pain.
at my in person visit, she was mindful of my circumstance and patient while explaining every issue I might have. she truly made it feel as though I was in the room and her first priority was my health.

There is NOTHING I can say about Dr. Natalya other than this woman is an heaven sent angel. She will make any visit to see her pleasant even if it means she is building you a whole new tooth. I had two fragments of teeth she repaired and instead of just plucking them, she saved them. All the while, she’s telling you what she’s doing and checking to make sure you’re ok and not in any pain. Have you ever experienced a dental visit like this?! Probably not and you won’t unless you go to see her. Do yourself a solid and place your dental care in the greatest hands in this field.

Dr Karpman is delightful. The office is cramped, tools are out of date, and cleanings should be more thorough. Liked her enough to stay a patient for a couple of years but realized after going elsewhere just how poor my cleanings had been here.

It was my first time back to a dentist in a very long time and I ended up needing a lot of work done, but I felt very comfortable in Dr. Karpman's hands. She was kind, but straight forward about areas I needed to improve on in terms of oral care and provided me with a lot of information about cleaning methods and toothpastes to use. After some fillings I got, Dr. Karpman was adamant that if I felt any discomfort I should contact her ASAP in the days following so she could make adjustments needed, warning "Don't be a hero. The patient always knows when something is off."
Personally, I especially appreciated that she didn't scoff at me when I asked about oil pulling, and in fact acknowledged it as a positive practice, leaving me with the sense that I found a very good fit for my own preferred methodologies. I look forward to going back to see her! (Well, as much as you can when you know the next appt will be to get more fillings, but you know what I mean.)

Dr. Karpman was wonderful! I was seen right away, and she was extremely helpful and thoughtful in reviewing my options for treatment. I never once felt like she was taking advantage and suggesting unnecessary treatments (like at a lot of dentists), and she was efficient, knowing that I was in a bit of a rush. I would definitely recommend her!

Dr. Karpman was one of the best dentists I have ever seen. She thoroughly explained everything going on with my teeth, spending at least 20-30 minutes in detail. She had a wonderful (and humorous!) bedside manner and did everything including basic cleaning herself. Not to mention, appointment times were very accommodating! I already have recommended her!

Dr. Karpman was great - very thorough cleaning, had me look and check if I wanted her to clean anything more, etc. at the end of the cleaning. Extremely nice, funny and easy to talk to and also super informative- she gave me a ton of information about my particular situation in clear way. I also greatly appreciated how aware she was of the fact that my insurance only covered a cleaning - she wanted to take some xrays to check for cavities but asked me first and was super receptive to me not having them, she also did not just start drilling my teeth as she wasn't 100% sure a cavity was even there with out x ray. So great as I often hear so many dentists that will just go for it or push for x rays, etc. and you end up in an uncomfortable situation and paying so much. The front desk guy was very helpful wth my insurance and nice- no wait when I got there. Overall a wonderful visit!

I was treated like family by her from the start - I even got a smile and a hello before I entered the exam room. She was kind and very thorough with my exam and cleaning. She was professional and made recommendations based on my exam. I didn't feel pressured into any extra procedures and she told me I can even wait for her recommended treatments. I think I will keep her & know she wants to keep me! That's how a dentist SHOULD make you feel.
