Dr. Nate Ewigman
In my Bay Area private practice (which is only on Mondays), I offer both evidence-based therapy, biofeedback (please see my biofeedback page to learn more) and medical hypnosis. While I offer psychotherapy remotely, biofeedback is most effective as an in-person treatment.
As a health psychologist and board-certified biofeedback therapist, I have a solid understanding of the interplay between medical / psychophysiological issues and mental health concerns. Also, I have a strong commitment to working with individuals from a diversity of backgrounds and a majority of my practice are immigrants and non-native English speakers.
I am a therapist that emphasizes action, curiosity and change; clients that work well with me tend to be open to being challenged and interested in challenging themselves and building new skills. They also tend to be interested, as I am, in defining and measuring progress to make sure they are moving forward in their lives.
Ultimately, my goal in improving stress-related problems is to help my patients live lives that hue more closely to deeply held values and get in contact with an unconditional worthiness.
