Today’s trip to the dentist was actually very pleasant. I was greeted as soon as I came in and didn’t wait long. Dr. Lavi was very thorough when providing information about my teeth and facilitated a very comfortable atmosphere. The whole experience was top notch

It was my first time visiting the office and it was an amazing visit. I went in for a routine cleaning and was provided with preventative instructions to continue maintaining and improving my oral hygiene and health. He was very knowledgeable and kind as was his entire team. He explained everything thoroughly to me so I could understand and feel more comfortable since I’m not the biggest fan of dentists. I’m recommending to everyone I know that needs a dentist. Empathy is off the charts here so if you want someone who genuinely cares about helping you come here.

very friendly staff but the services provided were very sub par. I went in for a simple cleaning and was convinced to do an x-ray I didn’t really want (or need), but I understand that’s pretty standard for new patients to get a clear picture. I saw the Dr for about 5 minutes and he did not ask about my dental history and instead used the back end of one of the instruments to start knocking on my front teeth (ouch!). Then he suggested we remove my permanent retainers and tried to convince me to schedule that procedure day of, when I have never had problems with my permanent retainers in the past (red flag). The cleaning by the hygienist was not thorough; no flossing, didn’t get behind my permanent retainers, and the polish took 2 minutes and left my teeth feeling gritty and not clean. Was not worth what I paid out of pocket. Staff was very kind but office is sketchy at best.

I really appreciate this small, intimate dental office and its friendly, patient staff. They followed up with me to see how I was doing by phone AND email in the days following my first appointment, which may seem like a small touch but goes a long way for me as someone who really values warm, thoughtful service.
Dr. Lavi and Ora went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, and were completely nonjudgmental about the fact that I hadn’t been to the dentist in 3 years and am not always perfect about my oral hygiene. When I mentioned I was also looking to fix a few chips in my front teeth and get my teeth whitened, they didn’t immediately try to upsell me on a bunch of expensive cosmetic work and instead told me to be patient until the non-cosmetic issues were fully addressed, which I appreciated as well.

I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Lavi's office from start to finish! I would highly recommend his office. All of the staff were great! The space was clean and calm and I felt very comfortable. The technology that he used to laser away my cavities was very impressive and also painless! I couldn't believe it. I am looking forward to my future appointments at his DTLA location and he has another location in Studio city as well. Thank you Dr. Lavi!!!
