Dr. Wendy Gonzalez-Canal, PhD
I provide online psychotherapy for adults who want to better understand and change patterns affecting their relationships, emotional well-being, and everyday lives. My areas of focus include anxiety, relationship and family patterns, boundaries and self-trust, perfectionism and high achievement, self-criticism, and major life transitions.
My approach combines depth-oriented psychotherapy with practical strategies for change. I draw from psychodynamic and relational approaches, attachment theory, and evidence-based strategies including DBT. Therapy may involve exploring how earlier experiences, relationships, family dynamics, and cultural context have shaped current patterns while also developing concrete ways to respond differently in the present.
I work from a culturally responsive perspective and have particular experience working with immigrants and people navigating multiple cultural identities, family expectations, and different cultural contexts. Therapy is available in English and Spanish.
Individual sessions are 50–55 minutes. My practice is private pay and out-of-network, with a fee of $275 per session. Courtesy out-of-network claim submission is available for clients whose insurance plans include out-of-network benefits.
