Welcome! I'm Yelena, your partner on this healing journey.
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 15 years of nursing experience. I hold a Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Wayne State University, along with a Bachelor's in Nursing and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Michigan State University.
Every individual has the potential to overcome suffering, and my role is to guide you on that path. Often, our struggles stem from childhood experiences and unresolved emotions that linger until they impact our lives. Many difficult or traumatic life events force us to develop thoughts and behaviors that protect us in the moment but ultimately lead to internal and relationship conflicts. I specialize in helping clients recognize harmful patterns and form new empowering thoughts and feelings. My goal is to help you live an authentic and joyful life through achieving self-awareness, acceptance, and a positive self-image.
I approach each session with empathy and compassion, utilizing a holistic method of healing that includes psychotherapy and medication, if needed. I address a range of mental health issues, with a focus on depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and trauma. My psychotherapy techniques are personalized and often incorporate mindfulness-based interventions, parts reintegration, and neural rewiring strategies, and DBT.
During our time together, we will discover what kind of life you truly desire and I will help you get to your destination by uncovering and removing the obstacles that block you.
