I was informed prior to the appointment that I would be seeing a PA instead of the physician I originally booked with, and I was okay proceeding with that. However, I was told the reason was that the physician was already booked for the same time slot I scheduled through Zocdoc, which was confusing and raises questions about provider availability accuracy on the platform.During the visit, I felt my chief complaint was not immediately understood, and I had to repeat myself several times before it was fully grasped. This made the appointment feel less efficient than expected.Additionally, the appointment was conducted as a phone call rather than a video visit. Given that my concern required visual assessment and I was asked to send photos, it would have been more appropriate to have a Zoom or video-based appointment to allow for proper evaluation.
