Shawn Dugan, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Dugan Psychiatry, a patient-centered mental health practice based in Arizona. What a wonderful and refreshing experience. Shawn was a very kind, safe, and gentle presence who made sure to make me feel safe and heard at a pretty overwhelming time. He proceeded to listen carefully to my needs and helped curate a plan we both agreed on for moving forward.
I appreciated his compassion and overall ability to listen and take into account all I was saying in such a short time. He also was very reassuring about treatment and follow up. This was by far the best psychiatric appointment I have had. A wonderful practitioner. Glad he is in the mental health field. Highly recommend!!

My appointment with Dr. Dugan went very well. He’s nice, a good communicator, and professional. Also is accommodating; I was 5 minutes late to our meeting, it was no problem at all. I just moved to Arizona, this is the first PCP I spoke with in town. I got the medications I desperately needed the same day right after my appointment, there’s no need to look elsewhere. In all candor I’d highly recommend Dr Dugan.

He is a perfect listener and you should have no shame conversing with him. He does his best to come up with a solution through the therapy session(s). I highly recommend him. He is also great for those with diverse backgrounds too.

Loved this doctor - he listened to me and asked lots of clarifying questions. He addressed my concerns with medications and previous bad experiences without judgement and worked around my wishes as well as best practice. He responds quickly and I would recommend him to anyone!
