I came in because I was experiencing brown discharge and was concerned that it might be related to my IUD. I clearly explained that I had experienced the exact same symptoms about a month ago, when my IUD had moved out of place and ultimately had to be removed. Because the same symptoms were happening again, I was understandably concerned and came in specifically to have the situation evaluated. Unfortunately, after explaining everything, I was told that they were not trained to deal with IUDs and did not know what to do in my situation. I found this extremely frustrating and disappointing. I came to a gynecology appointment with a specific concern involving an IUD, explained my history and symptoms in detail, and left without any real evaluation, answers, or solution. If the office is unable to evaluate or manage IUD-related concerns, I wish I had been told that before the appointment instead of wasting my time coming in. Based on this experience, I would not return.

The asked me at the front desk why I was there. Isn’t that a HIPPA violation? I don’t want everybody in the waiting room to know I have had explosive diarrhea for 7 days…. The nurse had a major attitude, and the doctor basically told me there was nothing the could do. Very poor bedside manner and did not explain things at all like my discharge summary. Overall awful experience. Will not be going back!

The doctor and nurses were very friendly. The lady who placed my IV and drew my blood got it on the first try and I am a hard stick normally. The doctor really listened to my concerns and made sure I had answers without dismissing my symptoms.
