East Coast Telepsychiatry
We are a remote access, full service, Telepsychiatry practice incorporated in South Carolina and Virginia. Our office is fully licensed and provides services in Virginia, South Carolina, New York and Florida. Our lead provider is Amy Pharr, APRN who offers 31 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner and 21 years as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
As a patient of East Coast Telepsychiatry, you can have your appointment in the comfort of your home, office or even on vacation with a camera and microphone equipped desktop, laptop or smartphone!
If you schedule with Zocdoc, YOU MUST CONTACT our office at 843-981-0850 Sunday through Thursday 10am -5pm. Though your appointment is confirmed as scheduled by ZOCDOC, it is not confirmed with us until we are able to speak with you, provide forms, etc.
We do accept many major insurances, and OFFER DISCOUNTED RATES for those with no insurance or who may be 'Out-of-Network'. We DO NOT accept Medicaid or Medicare, but offer steep discounts for these patients!
New patient visits are $259.00 and include: Questionnaire based Assessments, video based Evaluations, a diagnosis (if applicable) and the implementation of treatment specifically designed to best suit your needs, including medication management as, and if necessary. Follow-up visits are $129.00 - $159.00 and include a full review of your progress, adjustments to treatment plans/medication management as needed for your specific needs.

They operate through telehealth kareo for video visits which is nice. The policies they practice are problematic as they won’t refill non-controlled substance medications without an appointment which is very frustrating. They also only re-prescribe controlled substances every 30 days which causes very frustrating scheduling issues that impact my ability to have my prescriptions refilled in a timely manner. This is especially frustrating when prescribed medicines that have a “reset” associated (where there are significant side effects when a medication is not taken at a regular time each day).

I came to Amy with my known problems. She said I needed to be treated for other issues. I appreciate her expertise to help me make informed decisions. Amy didn’t consider my choice or opinion. I was truly shocked and had a very unpleasant experience. I’ve had effective treatment before and relocated so I was trying to renew my prescription. Amy was very rude and stubborn to the fact I wanted to prioritize the known problems and address her speculative concerns later.

Seemed a little quick to get me on meds. I would’ve liked a bit more conversation in order to feel my diagnosis was accurate, but she basically only went off my test results. First time meeting and already was ready to prescribe me something, which if that’s what you’re looking for then this might be the doctor for you, but I need conversation.

I am so incredibly thankful to Mrs. Amy & her team. I’ve been struggling a lot personally lately and couldn’t understand why. I honestly felt like I was going crazy some days. Through finding Mrs. Amy I was able to finally get a diagnosis & start the medication needed to balance me out. Mrs. Amy is very knowledgeable and will answer any of the questions you may have.
