Eastern Eye Care
Our practice offers a full scope of optometric eye care that includes comprehensive eye health exams and specialty contact lenses. Dr.Zhang provides diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, eye allergies, dry eyes and glaucoma. He also screens patients for age-related macular degeneration and ocular complications from diabetes. Dr. Zhang is certified in Cornea Refractive Therapy (CRT or orthokeratology) for myopia control, where special molds are used to reshape the cornea as an alternative to glasses, contacts, or LASIK. Dr.Zhang has been trained in the cutting-edge work of diagnosing and treating Binocular Vision Dysfunction (BVD). He provides a comprehensive NeuroVisual™ Exam to uncover the patient’s eye misalignment and to prescribe specialized microprism lenses to relieve BVD symptoms such as dizziness, headache, unsteady walk, focusing problem.

It was a very clean office, they were very efficient. I had to fill out paperwork when I got there, I prefer to do it ahead of time. I waited for about 15 minutes or so before the doctor saw me. I was there because I had a stye in my upper eyelid. He gave me a thorough exam and took some kind of a picture of my eyes that shows if there is anything behind, kind of like an x-ray. When I was leaving, the guy at the desk told me I owed a copay, which I knew I didn't because I had already met my deductible, it turned out the charge was for the picture he took that was not covered by insurance. I told him that he should have asked me first if I wanted to pay for it before taking a picture. He didn't end up charging me for it, but was happy about it. That was the only negative about my visit.
