Emil is uncannily adept at observing interpersonal dynamics and identifying root causes of behaviors/situations. He has an uncanny ability to let you know that he cares about you while asking probing/challenging questions that help you understand the situation and root cause of relationship dynamics. If he assigns homework it is exactly what is needed. If you are willing to swallow some pride and really listen/act on what he shares with you one visit to Emil can make more difference in your life than a year of visits to other therapists.

We will definitely go back! This was my first experience with therapy. I was very skeptical about going but am so glad I did. It was amazing how quickly Emil was able to identify our core marital issues. He was able to present information clearly and effectively for us to understand what we need to do going forward. My husband and I both feel that we are on a good trajectory for improvement within our relationship.

Absolutely the best therapist that I've ever seen. His approach and insights are impactful and drive right to the heart of the issue. We have seen several other therapists over several years with little progress (and some even exacerbated problems) but Emil was able to immediately understand the core issues and teach us how to fix them. A few visits later, my marriage is now thriving thanks to what we've learned and we're happily working to make it even better! I can't thank Emil enough!

Emil is uniquely insightful and the best MFT that I have ever met. He is very approachable and has a way of leading a person through exactly what they need to learn to address the root causes of issues and inspire you! One session with him provided more benefit than a dozen visits to a previous MFT and a couple more sessions helped us change our marriage! I highly recommend that every couple thoughtfully read his book "conflict to closeness" whether you go see him or not because it can show you how to change your relationships. If you are willing to put in the introspective work he can help you change your life! When I first heard him talk about a custom-built marriage and "rocket rails" I rolled my eyes. I can say that he's not kidding. I highly recommend Emil!
