Empowered Counseling
Do you often feel confused, frustrated, or stressed out in life? Do you feel disconnected from yourself or others? Do you engage in self-destructive behaviors resulting in guilt or shame? If you are nodding your head, you are not alone! Many of my clients have come to me with similar concerns. In session, I provide a space for clients to feel heard and aim to foster a collaborative relationship that leads to personal growth and empowerment. I work with individuals to build self-confidence and a satisfying life by helping them understand their values and leverage their strengths.
Most of my experience has been focused on issues including those related to self-image, identity, trauma, substance abuse, binge eating, disordered eating, anxiety, and depression. My primary modalities are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology but I also use a variety of interventions from other modalities including person-centered, CBT, DBT, and Gestalt therapies.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outside with my husband and young daughter, cooking and trying to practice yoga daily-ish. I look forward to learning more about you and encourage you to reach out with questions or visit my website for more information!
