Empowering Families Counseling
At Empowering Families Counseling, I specialize in helping parents, caregivers, and adults feel more confident, grounded, and emotionally supported in the face of stress, anxiety, and parenting challenges.
My work is focused on practical, evidence-based therapy that helps you make real changes in your daily life—not just talk about them. I integrate approaches such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), live parent coaching, and perinatal mental health support to help clients build effective skills they can use immediately at home.
I specialize in:
• Parenting challenges (tantrums, defiance, emotional outbursts)
• Child anxiety and emotional regulation
• Adult anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
• Postpartum depression and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
• Parent mental health and burnout
A key part of my approach for parent/child sessions is live, in-the-moment coaching for parents. During virtual sessions, you’ll actively engage with your child while receiving real-time guidance from me. This helps you learn exactly how to respond in challenging moments, build confidence, and strengthen your relationship with your child.
For adults and parents experiencing anxiety, I focus on helping you understand your triggers, calm your nervous system, and develop practical coping strategies that fit into real life. Therapy is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your unique needs and season of life.
My philosophy is simple: when parents and individuals feel more supported and regulated, children and families thrive.
If you’re looking for compassionate, practical support to feel more in control and less overwhelmed, I’d be honored to work with you.
