Dr. Chan was wonderful at my first consultation. We talked through all of my issues and concerns to figure out a specific approach to my treatment. I had a wonderful experience at Equilibrium with Dr. Chan and acupuncturist Edwin. Dr. Chan took a great deal of time to get to know my history -physical and emotional - and discussed with me a great plan of action to address my concerns in a holistic way. I’ve been on medications for years, for some of everything, and I felt like Dr. Chan listened to me and heard my struggles. To make sure that I received the best treatment overall, Dr. Chan recommended staring with acupuncture to give me faster relief rather than just adjusting me. Edwin, the acupuncturist, was great. He was a focused listener, asked great questions to get a full picture of what I had been struggling with, and developed a plan of action to treat not only my neck, shoulder, and back pain, but my digestion, kidney, and gout flare ups naturally using acupuncture. And the cupping relieved my back and neck pain tremendously. I came in the office in knots, limping and uncomfortable, and left feeling so much better.

I was so nervous going but she made me feel so comfortable! She told me what she was doing every step of the way. She knew I was nervous and asked what she could do to make me feel comfortable. Definitely going back, I have another appointment on Saturday. After one session my lower back eased up and I was able to walk better!
