Although a very likable doctor with all the advanced technology at his fingertips and obvious talent, I felt rushed through the entire process. Even the waiting room was designed to move patients through quickly. The seats were stiff and uncomfortable and tables small. I found the exam rooms too dark due to the black ceiling and low lights and therefore too "putting off" for my taste. After my quick exam, I definitely was notified about what was wrong with my vision, but not what was still right with them. At my age, any positive news about my health is always encouraging to hear. However in all the flurry, I forgot to inquire about them myself. Maybe this office could make a few adjustments to make all people of all ages feel more comfortable while having their eyes checked.

This was the most pleasant eye appointment I’ve ever had. They offer snacks and drinks while you’re waiting and just all around friendly. I would recommend this place.

Dr. Pillai and the staff were AMAZING!
I have keratoconus and was previously seeing a different doctor for scleral lenses when I started to get bad vibes. I did some digging online and found Pillai and decided to book an appointment. The experience was superb. The staff explained each step of the exam process, made sure I felt comfortable, etc. Overall, the scleral lens fitting process was way more detailed than my previous experiences, which is a positive thing in my opinion as more data points for the lens customizations seems better than fewer data points.
I can’t wait for my new scleral lenses to come in!

Both of my kids got their ortho-K lenses from Dr Pillai. He is alway willing to spend time to talk to them, answer all the questions and give good advises of eye caring.

This was my first time to visit this doctor and he specializes in neurological optometry. He was successfully able to diagnose my problem with balance and vertigo as relating to my vision issues. He performed a battery of tests which allowed him to diagnose and offer treatment protocols. I was very pleased with the thoroughness and the attention to detail. I am confident that I will continue to make progress with Dr. Chau.

The technician who did my preliminary tests was so kind and genuine, which made me feel relaxed and comfortable.
