Jerry was attentive, thorough, and friendly. Asking the right questions led to a timely understanding of my needs. There was not a hint of judgment for any of my challenges. The greatest comfort was setting a month of appointments in real time for my accountability and a predictable schedule, which eased some anxiety about engaging with a new, unfamiliar provider. Jerry was relatable with a “me too” here and there, casual but professional way of noting he’s part of our LGBTQ+ community, and was blunt but gentle on certain critical priorities such as med management and gradual behavioral tweaks. Solutions and action-based but not bossy. I look forward to our future appointments, not dread them as I have with other providers.
