Meet Our Physicians
Dr. Robert Gunzenhauser is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with specialized expertise in premium cataract surgery and advanced training in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. A Harvard College graduate (cum laude), he earned his medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine, where he ranked in the top 10% of his class. He completed his ophthalmology residency at UCLA’s world-renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at UCLA, further refining his surgical and diagnostic skills.
Dr. Marc Shomer earned both his medical degree and PhD in Neurology from the UCLA School of Medicine, where his doctoral research focused on neuronal repair. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute. Known for treating patients like family, Dr. Shomer is dedicated to providing individualized care and is committed to incorporating the latest advancements in eye treatments to achieve the best possible outcomes.
