I was impressed with how quickly I was able to obtain an appointment. When I arrived I was able to register quickly and complete paper work. I was then seen by someone else for gathering information and they conducted various visual tests. I was particularly impressed that I informed them of my eye infection and they didn’t use any of their equipment (for concern over spreading eye infection) yet were able to conduct the tests using their hands. Although it took a little while for the doctor to come in, he heard what I said and offered treatment options and allowed me to choose. They seem to be a well oiled machine.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received, especially considering the very high 4 figures out-of-pocket cost. During my appointment, I received no meaningful advice regarding my eye issues or pain. The only explanation provided was that my symptoms were simply signs of aging, with no clarification about my condition or any recommendations for managing it. Despite asking questions, I was given no guidance on best care practices. Overall, the experience felt like a waste of both my time and money, and I do not feel that I received the level of care I expected.

What a wonderful experience. Easy to get to in the bustling Soho/Chinatown area. The office itself is like an oasis from the song of the city, as are the wonderful and caring staff.
I was seen quickly, and though it was the end of the day (I was the last appointment) they treated me as if I was the first, and was seen be several people who did a thorough examination of my eyes, including a fourth person who took many photos of various parts of both eyes. I got a lot done for me, but it did not feel like a long time, nor did the staff rush the process.
After getting examined by the attentive and genuinely caring staff, the doctor soon after saw me and examined me himself, explained the findings and that I was a breath of fresh air being a patient with no eye issues.
Sure, the outcome was a good one hence my joy, but I felt like this before being seen by Dr. Cooney and certainly afterwards as well.
Finished, made an appointment for a year later and couldn't wait to write a review.

This was my first time ever going to an eye doctor so I had no idea what to expect. Dr. Cooney's front desk staff and assistants were so incredibly nice and welcoming. I really like how the office called me as soon as I booked an appointment via zoc doc, and then a day before my appointment they called to confirm my appointment. Dr. Cooney himself was really nice and his bedside manner was great. I really like how he explained everything in detail where I could understand what was going on with my vision. He used a lot of analogies that made me understand the situation. I did feel like my appointment was a little rushed mainly because there were a bit backed up in the office and my appointment was later so I had to wait 30 min to see Dr. Cooney, but overall I would recommend him as a doctor. Both him and his staff apologized to me for making me wait. I also want to mention in this review that Dr. Cooney was a great listener! Highly recommend :)
