I was initially able to book with Dr. Kenneth Gardener, but my experience suggests a concerning pattern. It feels like new patients are accepted, billed, and then selectively ghosted or dropped, keeping only the ones he prefers. This was not helpful for my CPTSD.
In our last session, he was sarcastic about where I chose to sit at the beginning. At the end, he had me recall a major traumatic event and then immediately ended the appointment, leaving the emotional wound completely open with no processing or stabilization. He then ghosted me on my next scheduled appointment with no notice or cancellation.
This approach felt unprofessional and unsafe for someone managing trauma. I am discontinuing care and would caution others; especially those with CPTSD or complex trauma histories; to consider this pattern before starting with him.
