Fairfax Internal Medicine is committed to providing each patient with an exceptional level of care and attention. TWO notes: More appointments are open to existing patients. As a solo practice, Fairfax Internal Medicine is physician owned and operated. Whitney E. Reese, MD has trained at the finest American institutions and maintains the highest standards. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1993 and 2003, she provides same day and comprehensive care. Dr. Reese is a thorough and understanding physician, taking pride in paying close attention to each patient's needs.
Fairfax Internal Medicine is conveniently located on Main Street in Fairfax Square, with ample parking in the City of Fairfax. We offer complete physical examinations, evaluations of complex problems and acute care.
There are no plans to 'go concierge' so to meet overhead costs, a Late Cancel/NO SHOW fee of $60 to simply cover your reservation is required.

I arrived 15 minutes early, as requested, and I was seen exactly on my scheduled time. I do appreciate a staff that smiles, is friendly and takes the time to answer your questions. Of course Dr. Reese was great. Answered all my questions and concerns and set a road map for the way ahead. I like knowing current status and plan of action forward. That’s proactive health care.

The booking of my appointment was a breeze. I was contacted my Maryam from reception giving me all sorts of helpful information regarding my upcoming appointment, directions, forms, etc. I did find that my saved documents, or added information wasn’t completely accurate when they were asking questions during my intake. I’m not sure how or why, but it didn’t translate over Zocdoc or their own personal intake information, so I did have to submit additional documents during my appointment and answer some repetitive questions.
As far as Dr Reese goes, she’s very nice, pleasant to talk to, however I did feel like I wasn’t 100% being listened to all of the time or she would correct me while I was explaining something. Bouncing around conversationally a little, which is hard for me personally. However my overall experience was nice, I’m just not sure we’re a complete fit.

If you've had 1+ appointment in the last 15 years with a large-practice provider, you're likely to be let down by your experience with Dr. Reese; this is an aging practice on autopilot. The only Patient Portal section that is linked with their health record system is what pharmacy you use - The staff will rush you through answers for maybe half of the questions in person. Dr. Reese gave some fairly generic health tips for women 10+ years older than me, and never bothered to learn my health history or anything about me. We did not discuss mental health, mammograms, or pap smears, all of which are fairly standard items for a modern annual physical. I am young, healthy, fit, and have worked in healthcare for several years - Perhaps if Dr. Reese had taken the time to find out anything about me, she wouldn't have been so patronizing. My annual physical included an odd rant about chicken skins and postulations about leaf mold after I said I don't have allergies.

Dr. Reese was super sweet as was her NP whose name I can’t remember at the moment (sorry!). I was seen right away and the appointment was a breeze. She was very knowledgeable about what I came in for and I’m sure will be a great partner in improving my health.

No doubt she is a good doctor. She gives plenty of time for check up and questions and answers. Also staffs are nice and friendly. However, sometimes it’s hard to understand what doctor saying. May be English is my second language that’s why.
