My name is Jared Wilke, Psy.D. and I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Texas. I have been practicing for over 10 years in San Diego, CA. Much of my practice has been working with children, teenagers, and their families. I also enjoy helping individuals and couples/marriages.
I enjoy being able to help people and give good guidance to help treat issues that many people face such as depression, anxiety, OCD, parenting issues, family conflicts, and more.
I use a wide range of interventions and treatment modalities including Family Systems, Psychodynamic and CBT (along with a few others). My main approach to therapy is to help my clients resolve the issues and problems that they are facing in their life. I look at therapy as basically problem solving, with working together on figuring out the best approach to working through difficulties clients are facing. I also provide Christian Counseling for clients who would like that therapy perspective.
I prefer to provide action items for clients to use to help them while in-between appointments. I see my job as helping people gain improvement and reducing symptoms as quickly as possible, so they can rely on their new skill sets to move forward in a healthier way.
