Dr. Andrew Chandler is deeply committed to the well-being of his patients in his primary care practice. He very much enjoys getting to know his patients so that he can best serve their health needs for now, and for years to come. Dr. Chandler works to assure he understands the needs of his patients, and sees it vital that his patients have a plan they feel comfortable with.
Dr. Chandler has been practicing in the metro Boston area since 2013, and is based in Arlington, MA alongside the beautiful Minuteman trail. Dr. Chandler received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, consistently ranked among the top schools for primary care in the nation. He completed his residency at the Tufts University Family Medicine residency at Cambridge Health Alliance. Prior, he also completed a fellowship in hospital administration at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and has a Master's degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
Dr. Chandler is affiliated with Mount Auburn Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. He also is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine where he lectures on skin cancer screening.

For a young man in his late 20's Dr. Chandler was the perfect doctor for me. He was patient did not rush me. He took his time for our first time meeting and made me feel comfortable straight from the start to talk about any issue I was having. After out physical he took the extra time to set up an action plan on next set with things and reviewed everything we talked about to make sure all my questions were answered.

In the general Boston area, I typically assume (and have no reason to doubt) that doctors are generally knowledgeable and competent and well-educated. So I tend to focus on whether doctors actually listen to what I say and take it into account, whether I feel like I even had a chance to say anything, and whether I feel like I understand what is happening. Dr. Chandler is very good at actually listening to patients. He always seems to understand that the information I have about my own experience is worth considering, and he uses that information if it's relevant. He then communicates what options are worth considering and explains why particular options might make more sense.

Dr. Chandler was great. Gave me plenty of time as a new patient, talked through a plethora of health issues, and helped formulate short and long term plans for my health goals. He's informative while also listening to you. The only reason I wouldn't recommend him is so that it's easier for me to get appointments!
