Hi , I’ve been practicing Endocrinology for over 25 years in my Solo Practice located in St. Augustine, Fla. My areas of expertise are listed on Zocdoc profile. I think of my patients first and don’t let a standard set of lab results dictate my decision making. I listen to you , the patient. I was taught that 90% of Medicine is listening to my patients . You have your unique story. Therefore my approach to each case is individualize , with treatment plans that make sense.

Friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff! Emily is the most approachable staff I have ever met; she is very caring. Dr. Oesterle is the best endocrinologist I have ever been to: very knowledgeable, explains everything in terms that are easy to understand, does not over medicate, listens and cares about his patient.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Oestrele. After multiple traumatic experiences with doctors in the past, I came in feeling anxious and guarded, but he immediately made me feel safe, heard, and genuinely cared for. He took his time, listened to my concerns, and explained everything thoroughly without ever making me feel rushed.
What stood out most was how much he truly cares about his patients. His compassion, integrity, and passion for what he does are rare and deeply reassuring. I left feeling relieved, supported, and grateful. I would highly recommend Dr. Oestrele to anyone looking for a doctor who truly cares.

I initially had a good experience with Dr. Robert Oesterle and felt hopeful after our first appointment. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill.
He prescribed me a medication and told me it would be called in right away — but it never was. Since then, he has become completely unreachable. His office has not responded to repeated phone calls, texts, or emails, and he also failed to show up for a scheduled follow-up appointment.
I’m now left in a position where I was prescribed something that was helping, but have no way to actually obtain it or get any medical guidance. I’ve also since learned that other patients are experiencing the same lack of communication and follow-through.
If Dr. Oesterle were reachable and his office functioned properly, he might be a good physician. Unfortunately, the complete breakdown in communication makes it impossible to get care when it’s actually needed. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.

I had an appointment with this Dr on Dec 10th he stood me up and other patients as well. No call, no communication at all. I called yesterday to verify my appointment before I traveled 40 minutes ONE way to see him. No call back, no communication at all again. I don't think he's in business anymore. I wouldn't go to.him even if he was with this lack.of professional behavior. Thank you.
