Flourish Counseling Group
At Flourish Counseling Group, I offer compassionate, evidence-based care grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a mindfulness-based approach. A core idea in ACT is that we cannot simply switch off painful thoughts and feelings. They are part of being human. What we can change is how we respond to them. Rather than struggling against difficult emotions, we learn to make room for them, unhook from unhelpful thought patterns, and take meaningful action guided by what matters most to you. Over time, this creates space for a fuller, more flexible life, even in the presence of pain.
Trauma is not only stored in our thoughts and memories. It lives in the body. You may notice it as tension, a racing heart, numbness, or a sense of being constantly on guard. That is why my work attends to the somatic side of healing, helping you reconnect with your body, notice what it is telling you, and feel safe within it again. As a certified EMDR therapist, I also help clients reprocess traumatic experiences so that painful memories lose their intensity and no longer control the present.
I provide therapy for children, teens, adults, and families, in person and through telehealth. Se habla español,
